Which is the best value for money fare?
The Citizen Card is the cheapest way to travel around. Depending on your situation (resident, student, pensioner...) you will pay a different amount.
In addition there is the school monthly ticket for students of any age. It costs 17,91 euros and it allows to take any bus of any line as many times as wanted during the whole month.
There is as well the 10 Card with which you can travel in all the city lines for a cheaper price than the normal single one. You cannot top it up and only allows 10 journeys. They are sold in the Customer Service office, in the Off Licences and in authorised centres.
What is it a free transfer?
When travelling with the Citizen Card you have 90 minutes to change buses among any city line without any extra charge. In the EMT information leaflets, as well as in the web page, you can see all the possible changes of each line.
From which age must children pay the bus fare?
Children under five years of age can travel for free in any line of the EMT as long as they are accompanied by an adult who has paid the correspondent fare. Children between five and eight years of age, both inclusive, holding a Citizen Card, will travel for free in all the city lines except line number 1, with origin and destination in the airport, and the intercity lines.
Which is the maximum amount I can use to pay my ticket?
The users' rights and duties regulation of the public transport in Palma regulates this section and establishes that all tickets will have to be paid not exceeding the amount of 10 euros.
