The Transport Municipal Company (EMT) has recently started the installation of the new bus stop posts. These new signs offer a contemporary design that preserves the EMT corporate image, allowing a higher protection of the information and a better display of the informative data, counting on round and compact edges with a structure which meets better the accessibility criteria.

As may be seen, the new posts are higher, which greatly improves visibility from the distance. Likewise, the better protection of the information will allow for its longer exposure, which is now difficult due to inclement weather and vandalism

The objective for the 2015 is to replace a total amount of 350 aluminium bus stop posts to subsequently continue with the installation of the remaining posts until all the units have been replaced. The first signs have been installed in the area of Paseo Mallorca and along the route of Line 2; the next posts to be replaced will be those in the sea lane area of Playa de Palma, along the routes of Line 15 and Line 30, as well as along the route of Line 21, connecting such area with the airport.
